Description of puppets types
Glove puppets:
The puppeteer wears the the puppets on their arm bringing them to life.

Stick puppets:
Puppets that are moved by a stick are called stick puppets.

Bunraku puppets:
The orginal bunrakus are traditional Japanese puppets.
The approximately 47-59 inch tall puppets are moved by 3 puppeteers at the same time. In Europe we use a slightly easier version of bunrakus, that can be moved by only one puppeteer by the short sticks attached to the puppets’ heads and arms.

Wayang puppets:
The head and body are put on one stick and the arms on separate sticks. These puppets can easily become quite flexible and expressive.

Marionettes:
Marionettes are moved by strings that are attached to the limbs and head of the puppet.
