Far, far away, beyond the mountains and valleys, beyond the bushes, rivers, swamps, and mole-hills, there lived a quiet, teeny-tiny girl named Thumbelina. She was so small that she didn’t even have a single friend. One evening, while resting in her bed of petals, she is whisked away by a toad, and thus begins her long, exciting, vicissitudinous journey. Bravely facing up to each challenge her adventure brings, Thumbelina makes her way across themountains and valleys, ditches and bushes, rivers, swamps, and mole-hills, to finally find her
friends in the World of Imagined Happiness.
